Trans-Poetry in Shadows.
For fellow Trans-people living in the shadows
Colors from the Shadows
In the shadows, we exist
Hiding our true selves, persist
Living in fear of judgment and hate
For who we are, we cannot debate
But in the darkness, there is beauty
Colors that shine, like a duty
To remind us that we are not alone
That our true selves can be shown
Purple, the color of royalty and pride
A symbol of our strength inside
We may feel small and insignificant
But we are powerful and magnificent
Blue, the color of the sky and the sea
A symbol of our endless possibility
We can be whoever we want to be
No matter what society may decree
Green, the color of growth and life
A symbol of our resilience in strife
We may have faced countless battles
But we are still here, standing tall
Yellow, the color of sunshine and joy
A symbol of our spirit, never to destroy
We may have been knocked down before
But we will always get up and soar
Red, the color of passion and love
A symbol of our hearts, beating above
We may have been told we cannot feel
But we know what is real, what is surreal
Orange, the color of warmth and energy
A symbol of our fire, our synergy
We may have been told we are wrong
But we know where we belong
Indigo, the color of mystery and depth
A symbol of our complexity, what is left
We may have been misunderstood
But we know ourselves, and that is good
Colors from the shadows, we embrace
Our true selves, we will not erase
For we are beautiful, unique, and bold
And our colors, we will always hold.
