There was a training this week. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday! I couldn't publish anything on my phone or until I got home. So, I wrote the following sitting in the training when others were presenting.
It's a training
and not raining.
70 degrees
sun shinning
beautiful trees.

Smudge the room
don't need the broom.
~
Brought snacks today
lunch served late yesterday.
~
Small group
they got the scoop.
3 days of information
providing education
about Anishinabe/Ojibwe
and Dakota peoples and anyway.

Fun, fun! So much fun
trainers and then group Hon!

Where do I belong
Who am I?
Were questions of how long
it can take for my
people to get better.
Sometimes we need to write a letter.
Do some trauma, grief and loss
work. Get time off from the boss.
~
Spend the time
it can be rhyme
Poetry is healing.
Art is helpful for dealing
with our trauma.
Instruments, music and drama
all are healing us
with little to no fuss
~
Devery was working on his syllabus.
Zhawin was working.
Rich had people calling.
I was writing.
Betty was reading.
All the trainers are great!
They are all first rate!

Ah, I remember going to trainings as a nurse. You can learn a lot even while doing a few other little things to pass the time in training.
