touch me

(not)

By Sara Published 11 months ago 1 min read

the silence

is loud

without you.

there are no words

in my empty head

left.

my chest is

hollow

and i don’t know

why people do

what they do.

i just do it with them.

i saw you today

and i did not fall

back

into your arms

because my skin

crawls now

when people touch

me.

my memory

is a broken record player

your thumb on my lips

your eyes in my soul

your face

when you turned

away.

i liked your prison

until i bled onto the

ground

you drank the last drops

of my soul.

i don’t like people

anymore.

i don’t know

why.

but your hands

make my loneliness

safe

and my empty bed

soft.

do not touch me.

i do not like to be touched.
