What is a writer without readers?

They're a ship without a sail.

Words blown on the wind

traveling through time

on a written page,

collecting dust on a shelf

waiting to be picked up

and read with lusty eyes.

They're a ship sitting on still waters,

waiting for a gust of wind,

sitting on the deck of the ship

until they sail home again.
