To The One In My Heart

My brother, the tree upon my plain, Open and upstanding, of adoration and daylight made

By Noha AjiPublished 2 months ago 1 min read

To the one in my heart, my brother, the tree upon my plain,

Open and upstanding, of adoration and daylight made,

My milestone, my windbreak, my safe house from the downpour:

You assemble my longings into your dappled shade.

Before I talked, you secured me;

Remainders of that lordship wait still.

On your demeanor all my paradise hung;

The least of what you needed was my will.

Whatever amount might change, this adoration remains,

Indeed, even as new faces new days fill,

Wealthy in longing, as when we were youthful.

Thank you for reading my poem.

I hope you like it.
