To My Little Boy

A Mother's Sorrow

By Ruth CrossPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

I know you are in heaven,

Where there is no pain or tears,

You’ll never be hurt or sick,

You will never have a fear.

I will never count your fingers,

Or your tiny little toes.

Never kiss your head,

And your little cute nose.

I will never rock you to sleep,

Or sing you a lullaby,

Never see you smile,

And never hear you cry.

I will never see you grow,

Or see you jump and play,

Never see you ride a bike,

Or swing a day away.

You were gone to soon,

My precious little boy,

You’ve filled my heart with sorrow,

But also so much joy

It pains me not to hold you,

Each and every day.

But one day I’ll be with you,

And I will Kiss you everyday
