Stories Out of Love

once a vibrant fire

Love's embers flicker, once a vibrant fire,

Now wisps of smoke, consumed by slow desire.

We built a castle, stone by whispered word,

But walls now crumble, trust no longer stirred.

The laughter's echo, a fading chime,

Replaced by silence, marking the end of time.

Stolen glances, once a secret thrill,

Now vacant eyes, with hearts that stand so still.

Like faded photographs, memories remain,

Colors dulled, a love we can't reclaim.

Jokes once shared, now fall flat and cold,

Stories rewritten, a truth untold.

The teacups clink, a hollow, practiced chime,

Conversations strained, marking the passage of time.

We dance a waltz, but the steps are wrong,

The melody discordant, where music once belonged.

A hand outstretched, met with hesitant touch,

A spark extinguished, loved oh so much.

The whispered secrets, shared beneath the stars,

Now hang like shadows, etched upon our scars.

Is it betrayal, or simply growing old?

Paths diverge, leaving hearts to turn cold.

Dreams once intertwined, now drift in the breeze,

The scent of freedom, bittersweet disease.

The blame unspoken, a weight we both hold,

A story unraveling, a tale yet untold.

Was it the distance, or the changing tide?

Love's fragile vessel, nowhere left to hide.

We search for reasons, a cause to ignite

The fading ember, rekindle the light.

But some stories have endings, bittersweet and stark,

Leaving behind fragments, etched upon the dark.

There's no villain here, no enemy to blame,

Just two souls shifting, caught in a changing game.

Respect remains, a silent, solemn vow,

For the love we shared, the memories somehow.

Perhaps someday, the anger will subside,

Leaving an echo, of what once resided.

We may not be lovers, but ghosts of a past,

Sharing a smile, a memory that will last.

This isn't a failure, though hearts may be sore,

It's the bittersweet truth, love can't always endure.

We learned and we grew, as seasons unfold,

Two separate stories, waiting to be told.

So let's release the burden, the weight of what's lost,

Embrace the freedom, at what a heavy cost.

Let love transform, in a different way,

A friendship's ember, to light another day.

For stories out of love, hold wisdom untold,

Of lessons learned, and hearts that turn bold.

They teach us resilience, the strength to move on,

And the courage to face, a love that's withdrawn.

The ending may sting, but the story's not done,

New chapters await, beneath the rising sun.

We'll carry the fragments, a mosaic of years,

Love's bittersweet legacy, etched through happy tears.
