Faraway places, faraway view
Connection unlikely, faraway you
Distance to cover, a union to bind
Amidst breathless and soul-less, going out of my mind
Soothing thoughts of the sea and the sand ‘tween my toes
The salt always cleansing as the Guardian knows
The path for a time twisted and tough
The air not as fresh and the challenges rough
The sun always rises and the stars always shine
Your heart still a treasure for the Seeker to mine
You will crest the cycle of infinite bliss
Joy and happiness constant with nature’s pure kiss
So take courage Beloved for too soon there’s a prize
That awaits journey’s end for the faithful and wise

Confessions of an Empath
The birds are chirping, and the sun is shining in a cloudless July sky. The vibrancy promises a beautiful day, but the cooing of the Mourning Dove perched on the powerlines seems to be more fitting than the lively songs of the robin flitting through the trees. The melancholic calls of the dove cloak the world in a sadness that hangs like tattered drapes.
