Solitude’s Song

Ahsan Ahmad

By Ahsan AhmadPublished about a month ago 1 min read

In the quiet of midnight’s embrace, Loneliness weaves its delicate lace. A solitary candle flickers low, Its feeble glow a companion in woe.

The moon, a distant confidante, Listens to whispered secrets, scant. Stars above, like distant kin, Blink in silent solidarity within.

The empty chair by the hearthside, Echoes of laughter now long denied. Footsteps fade on memory’s floor, Yet shadows dance—ghosts of yore.

The wind, a melancholy troubadour, Sings ballads of hearts left unsure. Through barren fields and desolate lanes, Loneliness waltzes, leaving faint stains.

But wait! Amidst this quiet despair, A fragile bloom dares to declare: “I am solitude, not sorrow’s kin, For within me lies strength to begin.”

Loneliness, a canvas waiting to be painted, A symphony yearning to be acquainted. In its quietude, seeds of resilience sown, A garden of self-discovery to be grown.

So let us sit with this silent guest, Learn its language, put our hearts to test. For in loneliness, paradoxically true, We find fragments of connection anew.

Remember, my friend, even in solitude, there’s a hidden beauty—a chance to know ourselves better, to find solace in our own company.
