Slumber Party 🎈

A slumber party with my emotions,

Where we lay in bed, cozy and warm,

Sharing secrets, fears, and devotions,

With nothing to hide or conceal or harm.

The room is dim, the air is still,

As we lie here, side by side,

I know I can trust these emotions,

To be here for me, to be my guide.

My insecurities try to join in,

Whispering doubts and fears in my ear,

But my emotions surround me,

Making their presence loud and clear.

Anger speaks up first, bold and fierce,

Defending me from those who cause pain,

Protecting me from hurt and tears,

With a fiery passion that can't be tamed.

Sadness follows, soft and tender,

Offering comfort and solace in its embrace,

Letting me cry, helping me surrender,

To the emotions I need to face.

Fear creeps in, tentative and shy,

Bringing caution and awareness to the fore,

Keeping me safe, but also asking why,

I let my insecurities grow more.

Joy enters, light and bright,

Bringing laughter and love to the scene,

Reminding me to enjoy the night,

And focus on the positive, not the in-between.

Together, my emotions create a space,

Where I can be myself, no need to hide,

A safe haven where I can embrace,

All the parts of me I keep inside.

The slumber party continues on,

With my emotions by my side,

As we share our stories until dawn,

And let our insecurities subside.

For in this moment, I know the truth,

That my emotions are here to stay,

Guiding me through my youth,

And helping me find my way.
