Sixteen by Sixteen

Sixteen by sixteen it holds every size

In between.

Six by seven: Graduated from Queen

To King, it holds my dreams.

36" – 60" wide, and 16" – 20" deep:

Drawers upon drawers, holding hordes

And hordes. T-shirts and shorts.

Denim for miles and cotton mounds.

Sixteen by sixteen it holds many boxes:

From the box that hums to the

Box that snores.

Boxes that freeze and boxes that heat.

Sixteen by sixteen - images galore:

There are pictures that move

And pictures that remind.

Pictures that are sometimes dark

Or fill my room with light.

Pictures that talk and pictures that read.
