Shades of Gray

I watch my brother turn red in the face, from laughter

Gasping for air, I shudder to think the latter

Is exactly what has us here. I turn

Blue in the face

Replaying memories of being stuck in

Shades of gray

On sunset orange, it takes the day away from me

Mentally those days will fade

I wake up day to day still seeing shades

of Gray

And as age would betray me

I would shake to say

I sea a wave to play

With

The blue would fade away into the ocean

Green. Decay’s decay

Decanted emotions come flowing like canal on a rainy day

I’m full

of memories

I would falsely equate to misery

And through rose colored shades

It’s more visible gray’s okay

we,

Can agree that life is a spectrum

Meant to be

Seen.

A beam of refracted energy

A new perspective at times

Can fix an image we thought was distorted.
