Body Language . Content Warning.
I won’t say your name—doing so feels like breaking a pact we never quite formalized. Even back then, I deliberately withheld your name in an attempt to keep things indistinct. But time has a way of clarifying what’s important, and this unresolved conversation we never had still occupies my thoughts. Interestingly, it’s a dialogue that has been silently evolving between us over the years, although its final chapter remains unwritten.

I Was Somebody’s Dusty Son. Content Warning.
At the heart of my adolescent turmoil, during those precarious years of middle school, there exists a chapter of my life that has remained— inscribed with indelible ink. To be honest every year leading up to, and since has had its own stand out moments. This is just a chapter I’ve often hesitated to revisit— not solely because of its intrinsic pain but because of the irrevocable mark it left on my self-perception.

From Fuzzy Feelings to Finer Verses
Have you ever been told you can’t? That you aren’t good enough? Take a moment. Breathe. Now, imagine meeting me in person. Imagine we’re sitting across from each other (or side by side if direct eye contact isn’t your thing). You’d notice that I rarely flaunt my identity. But today, I lay my cards on the table and tell you I am a poet and an author with bona fide publications to my name. (Please, don’t rush off to find them; this isn’t a sales pitch.)

Finding My Voice
The moment was sitting solo in the back of the classroom for independent time. I couldn't tell you the teacher's name—nor my classmates. I don't think I felt it was important at the time, considering it was a matter of time before I made my way to a new school. And I knew the statistics of kids like me. Still, I liked this solitary time—reading time. And this classroom had a small trove of books donated to the class library.

The House LITERALLY Divided
The phrase "a house divided against itself will always fall" is a quote from the Bible, and it has become a familiar and powerful metaphor for political and social division. In the United States, it is often used to describe the partisan divide between Republicans and Democrats. Despite their shared history and culture, these two political parties have become increasingly polarized, and their differences have created a deep rift in American society.
