Red
This poem for Vocal’s tautogram challenge was inspired by the out-of-control algal blooms known as “red tide” plaguing the Gulf Florida beaches I call home.

Red
Red rotting
Red ruining reefs
Red ribboning roaring riptides
Red rippling roguely ‘round rudders
Red rousing revolted retching
Red repelling relaxation
Red rancid
Red

That sounds terrible. Your poem is sublime, though!
I love your repeated use of the word red at the start of each line. Very impactful! Also, the shapely structure is fantastic– made me think of a wave of red.
Great story told through a few words! The alliteration and structure are great touches to the poem.
Maybe it is strange to mention it, but I thought of Peter Gabriel's "Red Rain" as I read this (same powerful imagery tied in to a strong colour). Excellent!
Nice. Diamond poem for the challenge
Good one❤️✨😉
Super tautogram poem!!! Left some love!!!
Ugh yes! So gross 🤢
