Max was a Wild Thing;

his bedroom a lush forest,

‘til he missed his mom

~

Matilda was bright

with dim-witted parents, books,

and sweet Miss Honey

~

Dorothy’s whirlwind

whirled over the rainbow—but,

there’s no place like home

~

petite Sara Crewe

lost her dad—yet, found magic

within the tragic

~

Mary found a key

and thrived within her garden;

her cheeks bloomed rosy

~

Charlotte the spider

saved her friend’s life with language,

as reading saved me
