Quiet Life

Midnight

By Rae ElliottPublished 7 years ago 1 min read
Midnight

Sometimes I forget myself, my mind is often somewhere else,

I wish to plan a date with me, but life has kept me so busy.

And when I think “I’ve time to spare, I’ll fit me in my day somewhere”,

Events are often changed rearranged, and I, too, must flow with this change.

Once more I put myself away and save me for another day.

But some nights when the moon is out and I don’t have to rush about,

I find myself so glad again when I am greeted by a friend,

And I will sit and sip some tea, and have some quiet tea with me.
