Pioneers' grave
Many visionaries came ahead of their time.
Like snow melting in the desert sand
ideas wilt in unworthy hands
starry nights filled with the mundane
strangle and maim the new and restrain
Progress
-
Like rain barraging the surface of the ocean
new is dismissed and the old is preserved and frozen
in time
but nothing is everlasting in nature’s motion
-
Like a molecule of air in open space
words dissipate and a void is replaced
suitable environments are needed for nurturing
if none exist, they'll simply just waste
-
Fear of new worlds appearing
Fear of the unknown domineering
Better remain and stay persevering
...
Ideas of yesteryear and to death endearing
-
Like a beam of light at the end of a cave
the new is new, and a path it paves
creativity and progress exponentially expand
uplifting the whole, new horizons at hand

Fear of new worlds appearing Fear of the unknown domineering Better remain and stay perseverin These lines were very relatable because I do have this fear and it overwhelms me so much. Loved your poem!
