Accept it? No. I can't. Why won't you

move to Barcelona with me???

¡Pensé que me amabas!

YEAH - I thought you loved me -

that, for ✨US✨, you’d “rip

the world apart."

Now, you've just

{{ripped my}}

..........heart. 💔

Author's Note:

Though I provided the translation in the poem itself, "Pensé que me amabas" means "I thought you loved me." There are 7 syllables there. SyllableCounter.com will tell you 6, but I assure you, SyllableCounter does not speak Spanish. :)

My qualifications involve having majored in the language and also teaching Spanish sílabas (syllables) to Kindergarteners on a daily basis. 🤗

That said, I can't guarantee I didn't make a mistake with the English🤭

    Oh well, those who say "I'd burn the world for you" are the ones who would burn us in the end. Loved your poem!

    Such pain, I felt the rip :( Beautiful use of Spanish in this, gave it extra depth.

    This is stunning...and the Spanish rocks...also...this feels painfully specific! Well done, pal!
