My body may not work like yours

but I am valid too.

You may be able to run laps around me,

by every step I take is my own success.

My mind does not think like yours,

but my thoughts still bloom like roses.

You only see me as less than,

but I am so much more than your assumptions,

I can not be boxed by your expectations.

I am worthy of my space

even if you see me as broken.

I am a mosaic of a human,

made of beautiful broken pieces,

more colorful than you will ever be.
