mine

(will you be?)

By Sara Published 2 months ago 1 min read

i will not wait

for eternal dawn

but dawn might

linger, for me.

(there was never anyone else, anyway).

i have made home

out of all six feet of you,

pried your windows open

with my long fingernails.

(i drew hearts on the dust).

time moves s l o w w w l y

in your world

so i might have time

to have a heart.

(you remind me that i still feel).

i have it all

but i have nothing

since you left

me behind.

(i hope you look back).
