Like flowers that bloom for a season
brightening the world around us
so too, was your love, our love
it withered in the fall
left my once light life
my open heart

beats

Omg this is so well done. I must admit I had to google the definition of marsescent haha but once I did it made me adore the poem sooo much. "our love it withered in the fall" really, really pulled on my heartstrings.
