Ochre souls singing

Humble earthen tones ring deep

The soul tamps downward

Spirals writhing swift

Light laughter upward ringing

Spirits dance without

Thought and memory

Seared and etched in red and black

All else expunged

By cooling sweetness

Let me lie patient and calm

Cleansed for all to hear
