When the darkness is alluring you, whispering to stay,
And the noise is muddling to its crescendo,
Look towards the lights that will guide you home today.

When the flowers begin to wither and decay,
And seem to have entered a lengthy limbo,
Remember, there can always be a fresh bouquet.

When the dance is no longer a beautiful long ballet,
And the shoes won’t allow you on your tiptoe,
Spin barefoot in the green grass, stomping on the hay.
***
When the wind is pulling you every which way,
And there is no telling who will be your hero,
Be it your own hero; stand tall, don’t stray.
***
It is true, that the sun will set another day;
Your gaze will soon catch the glaring window,
And see the clouds scatter away:
Your strength showing its beautiful display.
