Just forward, onward, in life's dance.
Each moment unfolds like a tale untold,
As destinies and dreams take hold.
We navigate the twists, the bends,
With courage, love, and cherished friends.
Through highs and lows, we find our way,
In sunshine's warmth and storms' dismay.
Life's road may be uncertain and steep,
Yet in the journey, our spirits leap.
The choices we make, the paths we tread,
Shape the tapestry our souls have thread.
No second chances, no rewind,
Only the present is ours to find.
In laughter's joy and tears' embrace,
We find the essence of our grace.
Life's fleeting beauty, like morning dew,
Begs us to cherish all that's true.
Though time may fly, and moments flee,
Our hearts can hold eternity.
Embrace the now, savor each sight,

The piece is full of wonderful detail (the father touching his lip where once there was a mustache, “but now he is clean-shaven—he has been for years” — and moving in revealing the complexities of a family’s life. A worthy winner which shows the power of dreams to influence us.
