It’s Pedestals

… that make us fall.

By Tim GracePublished 4 months ago 1 min read

If profit is your single cause

then limit not the market.

Let them starve on foreign shores

that will guarantee your target.

.

If speed be used to measure skill

then limit not velocity.

Just beware that this might kill

when absent is sobriety.

.

If it's pedestals that make us fall,

from grace to deep depravity,

then maybe we should ban them all

so forcing not the hand of gravity.

.

Stupid thoughts will incubate;

hence, the need to regulate.

.

About the Creator

Tim Grace

A first impression has a lasting effect - it makes a notable difference. In a subtle way that’s who I am as a poet. A ‘first impression’ looking for the gentle ‘twist’ that draws attention to a novel observation.
