If Only

If Only it Were True

By Brandon PhillipsPublished 5 months ago Updated 5 months ago 1 min read

if only

if only it were true

the life we could have had,

how the days could have gone,

why am I always like this,

I would change if I could,

but I can't

-

I did want her

and I needed her,

I loved her

if only

she loved me

and she needed me,

she did want me

-

how the days could have gone,

the life we could have had,

if only it were true,

if only

life was perfect

-

If only love was a choice

I guess this love stays in friendship

I guess it's my fault for not knowing sooner

Love is one of my favorite and least favorite topics to write about. It's also my absolute favorite thing, in this world, in all of its forms. And I'm glad you wrote about it. Thank you for sharing :)
