I'm a Stranger to Love is a work that tells a story that expresses our longing for even the simplest affections. It expresses our innocent envy and every day struggle to be seen in the way that we see others, and want to see ourselves. It is not hateful. It is an observation of what is within our reach but not yet ours. It is the love that we won't always be a stranger to.

I'm a Stranger to Love

Every day I watch from the window

It walks by with a smirk

It stops for a quick kiss

It's romantic

It's familial

Friendly, playful

It holds hands

Shares hugs

Love flows by

And I'm a stranger to it.
