I’m a cat

I’m a cat, And I look outside a window.

By Josh ClementsPublished 4 months ago Updated 4 months ago 1 min read

I’m a cat,

And I look outside a window.

I’m warm and safe,

inside here,

so I never go out there.

____________

I’m a cat,

And I look outside a window.

The green gazes at me,

Shines brightly,

So I wonder what it is.

____________

I’m a cat,

And I look outside a window.

I’m fed and fussed over,

loved forever,

but I cannot wander.

____________

I’m a cat,

So I stay indoors.

Meow and move

On wooden floors.

I’ll never smell a rose

Or get hurt by a lily.

I see flappy wings,

I’ll shred them to feathers;

I don’t know why?

For I’m a cat — it’s my nature.

Thanks ever so much! Yes, this is my cat — Boo. She has a sister from the same litter called Scout. They’re both featured in this poem here :) https://vocal.media/poets/scout-and-boo

  • Awww is that your cat? May I know his/her name?
