I'll Allow It

Teach the people around you how you want to be treated.

I'll Allow It

Take what you want, use me up, give me nothing back - I'll allow it.

Fight me for nothing, as chaos descends depleting my sanity - I'll allow it.

Destroy my confidence and smother the spark in my pride - I'll allow it.

Lost within this world of lies,

I will give you what you want without compromise.

I will choose to give you all I have and release my worldly pleasures;

Only to replace them with broken relics and counterfeit treasures.

In truth, no-one can betray me better than myself,

But I'll allow it because I value the illusion of your love over my own health.

I allow it - and so it shall be,

I will choose you long before I choose me.

About the Creator

Jollyoddbod Poetry

Here I am, and here I'll stay;

Like the moon in the darkness that refuses to fade.

Clouds will cover, but cannot take from my reign;

Mark this as the moment that they realise, as they scoff with distain.

They fell asleep, I cannot be blamed.
