Good bye, Calindy. It’s too bad
That you no longer taste of honey,
But think of value, think of money,
Of all the things we never had -
And I am sure you’ll understand,
Considering the circumstances,
That we were simply out of dances
And other things that never end.
Good bye, Calindy. Life is strange
And full of wonders, laughs and chances
As well as interim romances
That tend to flourish out of range,
Of teddy bears and perfect strangers,
Of triumphs, could have beens and dangers,
Of trails from paradise to hell.
Good bye, Calindy. Please be well.

"That we were simply out of dances" is such an intense line. There's pain in it but also cold resignation. Loved this poem!
Wow this was so sad and heartfelt. Lovely writing.
That's so beautiful. Sad and yet, beautiful.
