From Struggle to Triumph
The journey of my resilience
In the depth of my soul where sorrows lay,
A resilient heart finds its way.
Through harsh trials and daunting night,
It battles on fueled by inner light.
Each setback is a step not a fall,
Each challenge is a call for me to stand tall.
With courage drawn from the pain I embrace,
My heart marches on with steady pace.
Wounds may leave it mark and tears may flow,
But from each scar my strength grows.
With every storm, my heart learns to adjust,
And finds the will to ascend.
Through valleys dark, my heart seeks the peak,
In moments tough, it finds what’s unique.
From struggles way down deep to triumph,
My resilient heart takes flight.
The long journey the path although not straight,
But triumph waits me on the other path.

Confessions of an Empath
The birds are chirping, and the sun is shining in a cloudless July sky. The vibrancy promises a beautiful day, but the cooing of the Mourning Dove perched on the powerlines seems to be more fitting than the lively songs of the robin flitting through the trees. The melancholic calls of the dove cloak the world in a sadness that hangs like tattered drapes.
