inspired by In Eclipse challenge

Ethyl alcohol is merely but a fraction of their drunken, mutual, disastrous attraction. With toxic fumes rising and negating, two
chloroform-soaked lovers writhing and hating,
littering slurs to the crowd like frantic frenemies,
inundating their mouths with lethal ecstasy,
pulsing colors lighting up their star-crossed destiny, while a
surge of the masses pushes at their need to be
eclipsed into oblivion just for tonite.

Perception
This was written for Paul's wonderfully creative unofficial challenge which you can read about in the link below! I chose to 'remix' or in my case, answer? Paul's words with my own, using his poem, Great Nothingness, as the inspiration. All words in italics are Paul's. His original piece was an acrostic for the Dancing with Distraction Vocal challenge. Happy Pride Month, all! I love Pride Month and everything that comes with it; the celebration, the festivities, the prestige. Pride Month is the ultimate beacon of positivity. Now sadly, there are a bunch of people in society who aren't really crazy about Pride Month and have their things to say against it. To those people, I'll only say this. There's a special place reserved for people who are against Pride Month. I'm too much of a gentleman to say it here, but I'll give a few hints: it rhymes with "bell," and I'm not talking about the city in Michigan.
