Eternal Quest for Love
Navigating the Complex Landscape of Emotions and Timing
In the realm of love, most people aim to find someone they agree with. Everyone hopes to meet the right person at the right time, but what does “right” mean? Love can be tricky for anyone. No matter how smart you are, you can forget past hurts because of love. I forgot how painful it was to smile when I knew it would make me cry.
When you like someone, you feel insecure without them, but sometimes you don’t feel worthy of their company. Seeing them makes you happy, even if it’s uncomfortable. You just want to look at them and smile foolishly. However, they might not understand their own feelings. You don’t want them to see your vulnerable side, not because you don’t want to be yourself, but because you’d rather they see the perfect version of you, hoping they’ll think of you more.
Liking someone means you’re willing to endure a lot on your own. Even so, you’re happy, and you’re willing to be there with them, even if it’s in silence. You just want more time with them.
When you like someone, you wonder if they think of you when you sneeze, and you laugh at your own silliness. You don’t care if they’re not perfect; in your eyes, they’re always beautiful. You might never express how much you appreciate them, but you’re sure in your heart that they deserve your affection. However, I fell in love with you.
Loving someone means you don’t demand extravagant things, and you don’t pursue possessions. You just want to make them happy. You might fear that they’ll dislike you, but your anxiety and nerves only push them away.
Loving someone means getting used to being alone and becoming strong, even if they’re right there holding your hand. I don’t like to talk about love casually. I don’t want to appear frivolous or like a disposable toy. I love you, and I have no regrets, except for not having the right time for love because the person I fell for didn’t mean the same to me.
Maybe the person you love has a version of you in their heart, but it’s not you they’re destined to change for. So I lost time, to a “love rival” who hasn’t even appeared yet. Often, we love the right person, but it’s not the right time. Could it be fate, a cruel joke on myself, or as they say, “fate but not fate”?
But I don’t resent fate. Meeting the one you love is enough, even if you can’t grow old together. Everyone longs for a beautiful and enduring love, but we’re all like temporary fireworks — gorgeous but rarely lasting. Still, I’m on a quest to find that everlasting fireworks display.
