There once was a girl with diamond eyes,

who found herself lost in the mines.

Deep beneath the walls of stone,

she cried, broken, all alone.

For in the dark where she wept,

there was a dragon who slept.

It called to her and bid her quiet,

for her tears could start a riot.

"Now, find your rest, in the dark,

before that dragon steals your heart.

Find rest for your diamond eyes

for yours breaks a heart that’s mine."

There was a girl with diamond eyes,

who must find her rest before sunrise.

"So sleep now and find your rest,

as your Yonny loves you best.

A girl with diamond eyes needs her rest.

In a land of dreams, that dragon jests,

for in the waking land of tomorrow,

your exhaustion brings me sorrow.

So, Diamond Eyes, let your demons lie

and leave the broken rest to I."

So, Diamond Eyes, let your demons lie and leave the broken rest to I." Gosh this was a stunning last line. So sad but beautiful.
