Despite having nothing in my life

"until one day"

Hardships, tears, and misery.

Throughout my upbringing,.

I was treated as an outcast.

I was given the name Rotten.

As if I were an old, fallen fruit.

Nothing positive came my way.

I was mistreated.

as though I were a slave.

Misery became my companion.

I took small steps to pray secretly.

However, nothing changed.

Scars covered my body, and they

evolved into permanent tattoos.

I needed to forget that

scars can heal and fade.

because mine were different.

My blood was boiling.

I was astounded by the discomfort

I had to go through

Without anybody to talk to,

There was nowhere to flee.

Working hard for food

and shelter every day.

From my horrible relatives

those who took me in

after my parent's deaths

Until one day

I was determined to be

a street youngster

A homeless child

And peace came.

despite having nothing in my life.
