Dear universe,
My People pleasing is a problem.
I need to be able to say no more often,
Even if it makes people angry.
It’s not really my problem anymore.
I have every right to say no.
I shouldn’t feel bad about it.
I shouldn’t feel guilty either.
It’s not my fault that other people aren’t responsible.

Rose petals swept off the white deck, scattering across the soft surface like drops of blood. The same wind whipped at her hair, knotting the blonde strands like conspiring fingers.
