Dear Barista

An Open Letter to the Cute Barista at Starbucks

By Chloe GilholyPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Dear Barista,

I think you’re charmer.

Two double shifts:

I’m sure you know what it’s like.

What a killer: I think you’d understand.

Glad it’s over. Now I’m in London sitting in your shop.

I’m sure you guys would understand

How it feels to be working all day

And how nice is to sit down

With no deadline or hurry

To be in several destinations.

Anyway, nice meeting you.

Thanks for the coffee,

But my name is not Toby!

love poems
