CHALLENGE #1: OBJECT WRITING

Day 3/14 Challenge 1/4

“WHAT” Writing

5 minutes – “umbrella”

With the open umbrella grasped within my hand, I drift softly to land on my feet upon the of grass of the springtime meadow. I can hear the buzzing of the bees as their flight takes them from one gorgeous wildflower top the next. The smell of lazy summer breezes fill the air. Soft, sensual, enticing me to lay in the sunshine and tall grasses

10 minutes – “hair”

My hair covers m y eyes as it is whipped by the strong wind. The Siren in the storm at sea is calling, but I can’t really see her in the darkness. The ship is headed toward the sound and I can hear waves crashing against a shoreline. I longed for the sight of land in my view, but now I am afraid, surrounded by the salty scent of the sea air as water sprays around me. Cool droplets immerse my skin and my lost thoughts, hypnotized by the radiating beam of light from the lighthouse guarding the shore ahead.

90 seconds – “feather”

“Light as a feather,” they used to say. Not anymore. Now I’m older and heavy as stone.
