Day 2 of NaPoWriMo- Prompt is platonic love

By Nailah RobinsonPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

Drinking and hanging in the garage

Arguing like the siblings we are

Reminders of the advice we shared

No matter near or far

Even through the years of care

Laughter and light remains and

Love is always there

Life is such a funny thing

At first, I didn’t know

Marriage would bring us together

And friendship would break the mold

Regardless of how bold

Letting me be me

Even if we’re as different, as can be

Watching you become this “Man”

Is such a great privilege, dear brother

So here’s to you, D, love you ‘til the end

Acrostic

A wonderful tribute of sibling love. Nice that you two are closely bonded.
