Conversing with the Moon

Do you believe in Magic?

By VJHDPublished about a year ago 1 min read

My happy ending has yet to find me

and yet it seems I keep on trying

Feeling down and looking out

I searched for an answer to my quest

~

Do you believe in magic?

Is what I asked the moon-

She whispered back to me

How do you think I linger here?

~

The moon told me a secret

She said nobody else knew

I closed my eyes and listened as

She whispered across the stars

~

The rain is speaking quietly

To the fire in the storm

Try to listen carefully

As the truth is in the wind

~

It doesn’t matter what they take

Not even what they say about you

It only matters what you do

When you ask the fates for truth

~

The earth was made to know you

It holds the space for life

The spark of magic that you seek

Is within you as we speak.

~

Sometimes I write poetry that makes no sense to anyone else but me.

It just pours out of my head all in one go and needs no editing.

It’s like the Moon sent it to me, or the universe.

The beautiful thing about these poems is that they will speak to someone who reads it, not everyone, but someone will get something they need from it somewhere in the world.

Why else would I have made it? 🌙♥️
