Call Mom

Limerick Challenge

By Dr. Constance QuigleyPublished about a year ago 1 min read
In loving memory of my mom.

Teens long for the day when they're adults.

They rebel, test boundaries, and throw insults.

Until they're finally eighteen,

And have bills and must clean.

Then they call mom who is glad to consult.

Disclaimer: This is my original work. This is based on how I felt in my early stages of adulthood. It is my limerick submission about the relatable absurdities of life. I hope you enjoy it!

It is important to note that this is a work of fiction. In this book, the author (Dr. Constance Quigley) has created names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents that are either imaginary or are used in a fictitious manner for the sake of entertainment. If there is any resemblance to any actual person, living or dead, or to any actual event, it is purely coincidental.

Ahhh the cycle. We are hero’s, then dumb, until we emerge as wise counselors. Love this limerick.

  • I'm really lucky with my two, great friends throughout their whole growing up and still great friends now. Never had any trouble with them at all, but understand where you are coming from. Great challenge entry
