As deep as the sea

As bright as the sky

I always feel blue

And I will tell you why

I look at the world

All its colors and grays

All the rises and sunsets

Of so many days

I see all the stars

When day turns to night

The darkened blue evening

With nary a light

But the sky is not perfect

The stars do not shine

In my own thoughts

Trapped in my mind

I feel so alone

So broken without you

I wish I could tell

The world I am blue

But to the world I am nothing

This is all but true

I'm but a drop of azure

In the ocean of blue

sad poetry
