Blood tears
Poem about slavery
Blood tears
The moment I closed my eyes
I remembered Mary’s tears
With an empty stomach
Rustic hands
To knead the earth.
Nevertheless, Mary’s eyes
Full of disguise
Blinking through the sky
Looking for signs of hope.
A poem she could not read
Words are silent
Slightly, she is ready to obey commands
Dark clouds are the scene
Of a land we no longer possess.
As flowers flourish
Mary gently touches Chrysanthemum
The harvest time has come
Although lost in the shadow
Questioning wasn’t on the cards.
Feet approaching, filled with mud
Waving to return to errands
A lapse of time has passed
Freedom has no taste
She shall return, singing in tears
Because liberty is a fortune.
