BLACK IS

TRUE COLORS: COLOR IS PRIDE

By Lady TolbertPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Now what color am I she asked, black?

Black is the color of the midnight skies

and the back of a Raven

and the sound of death's cry.

I look in the mirror

the mirror says brown

but they told me black

is that a fact?

I have one sister the color of honey

the other the color of iced tea

are they still black

or is it just me?

My brother is tan,

like the color of cardboard

Is his tan black?

Should this be ignored?

Black is red, brown

honey colored, iced tea

banana, chocolate mousse

midnight skies that me.

Black is so many shades to see

but most of all

black is beautiful to me.
