A scarlet mangled mess
Curled up in a crimson crescent
Surrounded by twinkle lights
Yet eclipsed from the world asunder
She came like the night in the wind
Bitten from the pomegranate moon
She left me ruined for anyone else

This was written for a line prompt challenge, ‘a bite from the pomegranate moon’.
I was surprised to realise it could be reversed to read the other way. I love when I make reverse poems without even realising it, makes it so much more fun.
