The. bamboo. A rare plant that we associate with patience, an apt connection because it grows very rarely. It's also associated with another rarity- the panda, which includes it as one of the few additions on its menu.

It's not easy being a bamboo plant. You get chopped. I's difficult to find places to grow. When you do grow, your growth opportunities are scant.

Having said that, you do sprout with a little mindfulness, grounding, acceptance of your situation and determination. Enjoy these Haiku verses.

The Biding Bamboo

Grows only once a lifetime

Leaves know when to sprout

The biding bamboo

Standing firm in the forest

Grows where it can grow.

The biding bamboo

Knows its place in the forest

That it has rare space

The biding bamboo

Determines to grow

Even in small space
