Trains on Railroad Avenue

Walking along Railroad Avenue,

I hear a distant sound,

I look around,

Right along the tracks,

A train is coming fast,

The signal clangs loud,

From the locomotive,

Is a smoke cloud,

The sound gets closer,

As I look up and see,

The CSX is rumbling through,

At a certain time,

I see it was due,

The flanges clang the rails,

That have many tales,

Of time lived here,

This will make your heart cheer,

The cars maybe carry coal,

I never know what they hold,

But it is fun,

To see the trains roll through Ashland,

In such a timely fashion,

While people eat and stare,

There is bliss in the air,

As the trains roll through.
