As The World Ended

Short Poem

By simplicityPublished 3 months ago 1 min read

As the world ended,
I thought of tea instead of coffee, as it lost it's appeal

As the world ended,
I swirled cream into my coffee as I do

As the world ended,
I dressed in the same manner as everyday

As the world ended,
I made toast to throw away

As the world ended,
I saw no one else, tho they were around

As the world ended,
I selfishly thought, How could you leave me here with so much time to go

As the world ended,
I realized it still existed
and
This was too much to bear

As my world ended....
