All my life I have always waited for things to happen to me
Asking the question when will my life begin
But I didn’t realize it already started
My Life already began
While I sat by and watched
Waiting for some epic life changing moment to happen
And now I realize
That I wasted my time
We can be the change we want in the world
If I want my life to begin
I’m going to have to go out of my way to make it start
Someone once said that a journey of a thousand years starts with a day
So I’m going to take that step today I hope you do too

This is such a tender and hopeful poem, I can feel myself getting all emotional! That feeling of always being in waiting for something is so relatable; maybe it's just that the sentiments feel so true to my own life, but I think you've captured a really universal feeling here.
