Accident Park

Jersey strong in the 80's

By Dayna ClarkPublished 3 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

The humidity of summer stole our good common sense.

The moms and dads, aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents.

A few fond months a year, if you were brave,

And a near death experience is what you crave.

Ready to risk it all for the love of a cooling thrill.

This staple of a water park had been known to kill.

The humidity of summer stole our good common sense.

The moms and dads, aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents.

The semi sensible will change when we get there.

Others take the ride with the swimsuit creeping up the derriere.

Snacking and smacking gotta finish the rocket pop before it melts.

If you stain the car seat your legs and arms will meet the belt.

The humidity of summer stole our good common sense.

The moms and dads, aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents.

Many a shut downs courtesy the ruthless wave pool.

Unbiased in its victims, could turn an Olympic swimmer into a fool.

Everyone gets the chance to bob up and down and gasp for air.

Lifeguards underaged and underpaid, no cares to spare.

The humidity of summer stole our good common sense.

The Moms and Dads, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and Grandparents.

Leaping off a mountain, my eyelids glued shut.

Water might be too shallow, pins and needles attacking my gut.

Everyone’s watching, wondering if I’ll survive or die?

Out of my way, going around for one more try.

The humidity of summer, stole our good common sense.

The moms and dads, aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents.

The wildest of parks, numerous mishaps, unpublicized deaths, poorly designed awesome rides.

Buckle up family, we’re going again next week, taking danger all in stride.
